Manufacture of ordinary Portland cement, resistant to sulfate salts, pozzolana cement for industrial purposes and its derivatives and accessories, trading in these products and carrying out all related and complementary works for this purpose and exporting cement and related products.

Overview

The company was established in accordance with the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Electricity No. 514 of 03/12/1404 AH and the amended resolution No. (227) On 10/02/1415 AH Licensing the establishment of an industrial facility in the name of a Saudi joint stock company Cement Tabuk and the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce to license the establishment of the company issued with a number (247) On 12/02/1415 AH corresponding to 20/07/1994, by which the establishment of Tabuk Cement Company was announced (Saudi Arabian joint stock company) The Company issued Commercial Registration No. (3550012690) dated 25/02/1415H.

The Company is administered pursuant to what is specified in its Statute. It is a Saudi Arabian joint stock company accredited to the financial market and subject to the specified rules and regulations of the Saudi Arabian “Trade”.

Tabuk Cement Management and Plant is located within the borders of Neom District and is 27 km north of Duba Governorate and 220 km from Tabuk City and its regional airport. The Mitsubishi/Kawasaki/UBE Japanese consortium carried out the project by supplying and installing parts and conducting operating tests. A contract was signed between Mitsubishi and Tabuk Cement to implement the project on a “turn-key” basis on November 7, 1994. At the same time, the Austrian Australian company was contracted to play a key advisory role for the project. The plant is attached to a 45 megawatt power plant and a 1,500 cubic metres per day water disposal plant to supply electricity and water to the plant and its attached residential complex.

The construction of the plant began on 29/12/1994, and the opening and commencement of production began on Thursday 25/01/1419 AH corresponding to 21/05/1998 with the honour of His Royal Highness Prince Sattan bin Abdulaziz The Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Aviation and Inspector General, and His Royal Highness Prince Fahad bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Tabuk District, Honorary President of Tabuk Cement Company.

The commercial sale of cement began on 01/10/1998. The Honorary President of Tabuk Cement Company is His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Emir of Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia. He was given this post in honour of the Shareholders Association of the Company for his efforts in carrying out this project as well as his keenness and encouragement of the company’s continued support in all matters.
